In the choir of the basilica there is a magnificent organ in the romantic style built in 1884 in Paris by the A. Cavaillé-Coll house, considered the best organ builder of the 19th century. In 1911, F. Prince, former harmonist of this house, carried out an extension following the original pattern. It is mechanical, consisting of two 56-note keyboards, a 30-note pedalboard and 15 registers. In 2016 it was restored by the workshop of M. Jurine (Rontalon), thanks to the sponsorship of the Gondra Barandiaran Foundation.

The framework or box, in neo-Gothic style, is made of “northern pine” wood carved by the Bilbao sculptor Bernabé de Garamendi (19th century) as well as the 12 apostles and the marble altar.
